Zayn Malik is not dead. One Direction star was the victim of a death rumor on Twitter on Monday, as the hashtag # RIPZaynMalik trended worldwide and outraged hundreds of thousands of fans. 

The rumor turned out happily be a big scam and Malik states that he is alive and well. Rumor trended on Twitter just a few hours before April 1, and consisted of a fake "BBC" article where Malik was reported to have been found dead in a hotel room.
