Robert Pattinson is back in Los Angeles to celebrate Kristen Stewart's birthday . After having spent nearly four months filming in various parts of the world , Robert has now returned to California, where he plans to reunite with on / off girlfriend Kristen on her 24th birthday on 9 April. " He wanted to be back in LA before her birthday, " says a source .

The former " Twilight" couple is now planning a long-awaited reunion , then they have not met each other for several months. " Rob is back in town and is excited about spending quality time with Kristen , " explains the source, who adds that Kristen is overjoyed.

Robert and Kristen broke up in May last year , and has not been seen in each other's company since last fall . It is still unclear what status the stars have , both being frugal with giving out details of their love life.
