Paul Walker died as a result of speeding and not mechanical problems.

A source connected with the CHP which did the speed analysis. Roger Rodas, the driver, was going between 80 and 93 MPH when he lost control going around a curve and crashed.

A source from the L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. the agency that conducted the mechanics analysis who says the crash was NOT the result of mechanical failure.  Speed was the trigger for the fatal accident.

Investigators also noted the tires were 9 years old. Shortly after Paul died  law enforcement sources told us they were the original tires on the car and they had hardened it lost traction on the road.

Investigators say there was no evidence a second car was involved in the collision.

They also said an after-market exhaust system had been installed, which would have increased the engine's horsepower.

During the investigation, German Porsche mechanics flew to L.A. to examine the car analyzing the Carrera GT's brakes, engine, body and a tire that wasn't destroyed in the fire.

A new report blaming Paul Walker's fatal car accident on excess speed alone is false

A new report blaming Paul Walker's fatal car accident on excess speed alone is false  multiple informed law enforcement sources tell .

The Associated Press is running a story that investigators have already concluded there was NO EVIDENCE Paul's Porsche had mechanical problems at the time of the crash.

According to the report, investigators believe Paul's friend Roger Rodas was simply driving way too fast  and that's what led to the November 30 crash in Santa Clarita, which killed both Walker and Rodas. The report says the investigation also ruled out debris in the road as a possible cause for the car losing control.

But we've learned that's not true -- multiple law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation tells, the investigation is ongoing and NO determinations have been made regarding the cause.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Dept. has summoned Porsche engineers from Germany to come here and examine what's left of the engine, brakes and tires in an effort to determine the cause of the accident.

Paul Walker behind the wheels video he liked his cars fast

Paul Walker liked his cars fast fast fast  in fact, he once boasted about hitting a top speed of 185 MPH and it wasn't on a racetrack  it was on a freeway.

"The Fast & The Furious" star who died in a fiery car crash on Saturday -- made the revelation on GTChannel back in 2011 ... while taking a Nissan GT-R out for a test spin in Japan.

"The fastest I've ever gone is 184 to 186," Walker says on the video .... and then he reveals how fast he was clocked on an actual racetrack.
Law enforcement believes speed was a factor in the crash of the Porsche Carrera GT that killed Walker and his friend Roger Rodas in Santa Clarita, CA ... although it was Rodas  not Paul Walker  who was driving at the time of the collision.
