Therefore want the family members to stop movie about Aaliyah!
TV company LifeTime confirmed this week that the recordings of the biography of Aaliyah will begin this summer. But the late singer's family has resisted and now wants to do everything to stop production. Reason given is that the family think that a TV movie is too small for someone who was as big as Aaliyah, and they would see that it created a great film for the cinema.
The star's former manager, who is also the uncle, Barry Hankerson argues that no one from the production had informed the family about the film. They have now hired lawyers to stop the recordings, but how it will go is unclear. Lifetime has in the current situation has not responded to requests by the comment.
Reported earlier this week that the 17-year-old Disney star Zendaya has been cast as Aaliyah in the upcoming film biography "Aaliyah: Princess Of R & B", which will portray the singer's life and death. Aaliyah died in a plane crash in 2001 at age 22.
