Amanda Bynes's request to terminate his involuntary commitment to a psychiatric clinic has been refused. Although her lawyers argued that there is no legitimate reason to keep the former child star locked, rejected Judge Amanda's appeal. The decision was based on concerns that Amanda does not recognize his mental illness and hence stop taking the medication if she is released. Doctors at the clinic also asked to extend Amanda stay because she has not yet received a final diagnosis.

This means at Amanda will stay in the hospital for at least 9 August when a judge will take up her mom's request to take custody of his daughter.
